Here’s where you come in!

We are currently seeking several new trainees to join our Trading Team. In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will be responsible for buy/sell decisions to customers who consume various metals as part of their production process. You will achieve profit margin goals, grow the CMI brand of excellence and develop strategic business relationships.

As part of your onboarding program, you will be provided with an extensive hands-on training program that will include exposure to Logistics, Operations and of course, commodity trading.

· Meet with existing and potential customers to gather and analyze needs and requirements for material

· Develop strong business relationships with growing portfolio of customers

· Expand profitable business with existing customers

· Create monthly sales plan for each grade type/commodity

· Market material to the most appropriate customer to get best value

· Ensure orders are executed on time

· Responsible for quality of shipments in conjunction with operational departments

· Manage after sales service

· Ensure all queries, and any problems are handled in a prompt professional manner

· Provide analysis and deliver timely sales reporting

Qualifications

· Post-Secondary Education in a business-related program (new grads are encouraged to apply!)

· Exposure or experience in a sales environment (preferred but not necessary)

· Strong mathematical skills

· Strong MS Office skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Must have ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

· Ability to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives

· Excellent customer service skills

· Motivated and creative team player

· Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills

· Ability to negotiate
