Sheet Metal Worker – Canadian Newcomer Jobs

Atlas-Apex Roofing Inc. located at 65 Disco Road, Toronto, ON, M9W 1M2 is looking for Experienced & Pre-Apprentice workers for positions in the Sheet Metal Department.

Sheet Metal Department – Fabrication & Field Installation Positions

**Wage range from $25-$50/hr depending on experience**

Must be a team player who is dependable and reliable
Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, high energy environment
Weight handling can be over 45kg
On site work environment is outdoors and subjected to all weather conditions.
Worker must wear necessary Protective Equipment including but not limited to Safety Boots
Own transportation is an asset
Ability to learn and follow our extensive safety policy
Intermediate English skills

Responsibilities of Fabrication Positions:

Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
Cut materials using power tools or by hand
Fit and join sheet metal parts
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Responsibilities of Field Installation Positions:

Install Architectural Sheet Metal applications, including Steel Wall finishes, Composite Aluminum Wall finishes, Composite Aluminum Wall panels and Custom Zinc or Copper applications
Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills
Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes
Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
Secure metal panels in place, and interlock and fasten grooved panel edges
Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components to repair sheet metal items
