Position Summary:
The Regional Manager will provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of the annual operational and financial goals and objectives for the Region. The incumbent will coordinate all activities in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Company to safeguard and grow the assets of the organization while providing sound current returns.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Sustains and develops the Region’s HVAC positioning within the industries and markets in which the Company operates.
- Meet with existing and new potential customers to promote and grow the Ainsworth Chiller Services offering through out the Central Ontario Region.
- Actively participate in networking associations to promote brand recognition, increase Chiller Service opportunities and strategic manufacture partnerships.
- Sustains and develops the Region’s positioning within the industries and markets in which the Company operates.
Operational Management:
- Steers the Region towards the attainment of the Region’s strategy, business plan and objectives.
- Examines the feasibility and profitability of individual projects, and monitors progress and achievements in pre-established reporting periods.
- Oversees and develops the Ainsworth Chiller services group though leadership, mentorship, and training.
- Oversees the initiatives of new developments such as new markets, new service offerings, and new programs.
- Monitors and leads the design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services within the Region to ensure paramount results.
- Ensures high levels of human capital within the Region by analyzing productivity reports and liaising with direct reports.
- Oversees decisions to hire, promote, demote and dismiss within the Region.
- Maintains critical relationship with clients, the senior management team, and direct reports.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Compliance:
- Monitors the efforts of direct reports to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory bodies.
- Ensures that decisions and policies are implemented and delivered.
- Ensures that all financial and non-financial reporting requirements are met on a timely and regular basis.
- Ensures that the best interests of the organization, employees, customers, stakeholders, the law and the public are always a priority.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Finance Management:
- Plays an active role in the development and preparation of the Region budget and allocations.
- Ensures the adequacy and soundness of the Region’s financial structure, reviewing all capital expenditure requests and arrangements for additional finance-funds.
- Approves remuneration changes for all employees within their areas of direct responsibility.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in HVAC industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role within HVAC industry.
- Progressive sales and customer service experience
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of government and industry requirements, standards, regulations, and processes as they apply to the Company.
- Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for an organization’s vision, and motivates, leads, and empowers others to achieve Company/Region goals.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, draw correct conclusions, and articulate clear and focused directives.
- Ability to formulate strategies and create new approaches in adverse situations.
- Has a personal commitment to organizational excellence; displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
- Manages competing demands to maintain a healthy balance between work, family and community activities.
- Experience working with executives providing professional, accurate, and strategic input.
