University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Quality Assurance Analyst (Technical Analyst I) in the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation/Techna.

We are currently looking for a driven, detail-oriented passionate Quality Assurance Analyst (Technical Analyst I) to drive the development of the digital therapeutics we build – both patient and provider facing. Responsibilities include: ensuring the processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented, adhered to and updated as required; converting business requirements and design documents into test plans and test cases/scripts; closely working with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases/scripts to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures; ensuring quality and statistical analysis of current production concerns and processes for designated programs; defining data quality standards and implements tools to support quality; raising timely awareness about any discovered issues and works collaboratively with members of other related departments and suppliers to develop remedies; ensuring audit process is implemented on projects in accordance with approved quality procedures; providing recommendations for improvement; communicate application defects in a clear and concise manner; supporting development team during new designs and modifications in during such stages as risk analysis, design review, verification and validation; preparing for and attending scheduled audits by regulatory bodies; writing, revising/updating work instructions and SOPs, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At minimum, 1 year of experience in a Quality Assurance Tester position, preferably in a medical device company
  • Minimum 3 years of test plan design, maintenance and developing test cases based upon system specifications documentation preferred
  • Practical experience with implementing ISO:13485 requirements as applied to medical products, especially in a software setting
  • Experience with QA testing web-based, iOS and Android applications
  • Familiarity and experience with the requirements software lifecycle processes, with an emphasis on Agile
  • Familiarity and experience with designing and executing both manual and automated test plans and test cases/scripts
  • Experience with bug fix verification and validation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think abstractly with an “outside the box” approach to testing
  • Attentive to detail, with developed analytical skills, and a scientific approach to problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good time management skills
