Production Associate Manager – Afternoon Shift

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Production Associate Manager, who is available to work the afternoon shift.
This role will be based out of our Eastside Facility in Etobicoke. The hours of work will be 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

 

  • Must ensure relevant safety regulations are fully complied with, including personal protective equipment, fall protection, forklift, and hazard communication requirements
  • Ensure production constraints/bottlenecks are removed, prioritize resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals. Instill a culture of continuous improvement amongst the employees
  • Identify areas for opportunities in production in workflow and process reliability, with required documentation, to reduce downtime and meet quality standards
  • Lead teams to run production on the line while ensuring safety and product.
  • Collaborate with other departments in ensuring completion of assigned projects to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping in the Production Department.
  • Strive to achieve the lowest cost, goals for line, shift, and facility. Partner with maintenance personnel to improve efficiency and UPTIME in the line
  • Responsible for establishing ownership of document accuracy on the floor and the process to ensure they are updated and match team site documents
  • Lead teams to identify defects on equipment, cleaning, inspections and executive corrective actions to address any defects as needed
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 – Inventory flow, Reservation, Capacity Reservation, PIP Screen, Transactions)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to influence
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict management and fair management practices
  • Proven supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop and provide direction to teams.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office. Prior technical experience in processing and packaging in manufacturing is an asset
  • Prior experience in lean six sigma is desired.
