Title: Field Supervisor, Greater Toronto Area
Reports To: Operations Manager
is responsible for organizing and assigning Drivers and equipment for waste and recycling collection at commercial and institutional customer sites and to transfer site operations.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for the supervision of all waste collection program activities
- Responsible for the supervision, promotion and implementation of all recycling program activities
- Responsible for planning of daily work schedules and timekeeping of Drivers
- Responsible for optimizing collection routes and ensuring full utilization of manpower and equipment
- Responsible to respond in a timely manner to customer questions and concerns
- Responsible to ensure a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
- Responsible for completing and submitting reports relating to an injury investigation, workplace health & safety matter, property damage, and co-ordinate preventative maintenance with maintenance.
- The role includes providing support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three to five years experience in a supervisory/management capacity with excellent managerial skills
- Team building and maintaining.
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License, Class “G” or DZ is an asset.
- Knowledge in the operation of transfer sites, waste/recycling trucks is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to deal with customers and the public in an effective and courteous manner
- Working knowledge of applicable Provincial, Federal, and Municipal laws.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and TRUX
- Current and clear Criminal Record Check

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
