We are a fitness facility in the prestigious Bloor West Village and currently cater to over 3500 members. Our gym is quite large at 32,000 square feet and offer our members access to an amazing experience. We are seeking to even better this experience by hiring the right team member!

We are seeking a gym manager that has a bachelor’s degree in sports science, business administration or management. The applicant must have at least 2 years experience in both business and working at a gym before they can be considered. In exceptional circumstances, one does not need a degree if their experience is at an expert level as we believe that there are times when a high-performing gym employee climbs up the ranks and can be promoted to become the gym manager.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

To become a successful gym manager with us, we require the candidate to be personable and be able to relate with the staff as well as the members. They must be able to communicate and be articulate along with an extensive knowledge on the use of the facilities and equipment.

Working Conditions

Gym managers often work the standard 40 plus hours a week, within gym hours. Their work place isn’t limited to the gym, they may need to do presentations for clients about their programs and facilities at corporate events so they can widen the exposure of the gyms brand.

Salary

The average salary and commission for a gym manager is between $50,000 – $75,000 annually. Of course, the more experience you have, the higher the negotiated salary will be.
Must haves to apply for this position:

*Strong customer service background and a comfort dealing with the members

* The ability to present pricing and membership prescription and overcome objection without pressure

*Prepare weekly schedules and work assignments for staff

*Assist in developing and maintaining workout programs and providing fitness consultations when necessary.

*Ensure gym facility is maintained clean, safe and orderly.

*Ensure that gym equipment are kept in good working condition.

*Work with other staffs to achieve monthly target.

*Ensure that all staffs follow center’s procedures and policies.

*Enhance revenue by providing additional discounts and services to existing and new customers.

*Resolve issues and complaints pertaining to personal training from customers.

*Schedule and conduct gym tours to new customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
