Machine Operator (PM or Night Shift)
We are looking for a Machine Operator to work the PM or Night Shift. You will perform basic machine maintenance, adjustments, and operate machinery.
Shifts: PM Shift 3:30pm – 10:30pm/ Night Shift 11:30pm – 6:30am
Hourly Wage PM shift $17.70 per hour / Night shift $18.70 per hour

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Machine Operator to work the PM or Night Shift. You will perform basic machine maintenance, adjustments, and operate machinery.

What would you be doing?
- Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
- Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
- Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
- Organize, maintain an obstructive-free work area and safely operate all machinery/equipment
- Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
- Perform and report on daily safety and maintenance checks
- Work well independently as well as part of a team
- Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
What skills and qualifications do you need?
- WHMIS, Pallet Lift Truck, Forklift certifications are an asset
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and WHMIS
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- This is a physically demanding position and requires the ability to lift 25kg
- High School Diploma or relevant designation is preferred
- 2 years of experience in Manufacturing industry with machine operation
Work Enviroment
- The individual will work in the Warehouse/Production facility located in Etobicoke, ON home base office
- Constant interaction with a variety of chemicals and chemical products
- Ability to lift varying weights of raw materials as required
- Must be able to use dollies, fork trucks, and manual pallet jacks
- Working with unpleasant odors and fumes
- Constant heavy lifting and high noise levels.
- Flammable, combustible, toxic and corrosive chemicals may be present in the work area
- Constant change is to be expected in a high-pressured environment
- 2+ years of related experience required
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and push/pull 400lbs
- Using hands and arms together to move various items
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
