Job Description
In-home Child Caregiver will work in the employers home caring for a six-month old infant Caregiver will make formula and feed child, change diaper and clothes, bathe, read stories, put child to nap maintain a safe environment for child, see to the well-being of the child and do light housekeeping.
Benefits
- A wage of Fourteen Dollars ($14.00) per hour is offered for a forty hour workweek with overtime if necessary of Twenty-One Dollars ($21.00) per hour after 44 hours per week
- Two days off o Saturdays and Sundays or as agreed upon otherwise
- Paid breaks, paid vacation (two weeks or 4% of gross wage) after one year of employment
- Accommodation is available, at no cost, on a voluntary basis to facilitate travel and weather conditions but living in is NOT a condition of employment
Job Requirements
- Caregiver will have a minimum of Grade 12 Education, or equivalent
- Effective communication in English is necessary for working without supervision
- Experience of at least one year in child care, with at least six months within the past three years OR training as a child caregiver, with recognized certification, OR training as a nurse, nursing aid or practical nurse form part of the mandatory requirements
