Job Description
Toronto Family needs caregiver for an 83-year old elderly female, in the employer’s home. Successful person will provide personal care, companionship, and assistance with exercise; monitor and remind of taking medications; prepare and serve nutritious meals; do her laundry and light housekeeping. Start date is as soon as possible after selection of suitable person.
Benefits
The position is Full Time of 40 hours per week with possible overtime. Compensation is $16.00 per hour, with two days of per week, ten days vacation after one year of service and accommodation is available at no cost if required. However Living In is Not a condition of employment. Statutory deductions apply
Job Requirements
Successful candidate will have a minimum education of Canada Grade 12 or equivalent, with similar care-giving experience (caring for elderly) of at least one year OR training as a caregiver, for example PSW training, nursing, practical nursing etc. Caregiver must speak English at a level sufficient to work without supervision. Punctuality, flexibility and problem solving skills are assets for the position.
