A caregiver is needed to assist an adult male with personal care, exercise, climbing stairs, assist in and out of wheelchair, other personal care activities, assist with hygiene, administer medications. The caregiver will also provide companionship, prepare and serve nutritious meals, do some housework and launder clothes and linen, and assume responsibility for the home in the absence of the employer
The successful candidate will enjoy full-time work of forty hours per week daytime with some overtime and evening hours when necessary
Wages start at eighteen dollars per hour with overtime at time and a half after forty-four hours per week. Statutory deductions apply
Vacation of two weeks after one year of service is part of the package and days off are Saturdays and Sundays.
Accommodation is optional and is available at no charge to the caregiver who volunteers to live in to facilitate an on-time start during inclement weather, transport difficulties, or overtime
- The successful person will have a Canadian secondary education or equivalent
- At least one year of Canadian experience in a similar setting and be able to communicate effectively in English.
- The caregiver will be punctual, dependable, flexible reliable, well organized
