About the Position
Beard and Hammer is seeking a motivated Construction Trades Helper to join our team. This role involves supporting skilled tradespeople on construction sites and assisting with a variety of building and site preparation tasks. The position is physically demanding and requires someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work well in a team environment.
This position contributes to environmentally responsible construction practices and supports projects aligned with Canada’s net-zero environmental goals.
Requirements
- Language: English
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in construction or a similar field
- Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks
Job Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- Assist with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
- Remove rubble and debris from construction sites
- Support skilled tradespeople with general construction tasks
