Job Description
Bilingual Toronto employers seek a child caregiver to work full time in the employers’ home. Care will be for two boys and one girl, eight, six and fours years old respectively. Caregiver will be organized, flexible, reliable and be able to use judgment in preparing nutritious meals, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, instruct the children in personal hygiene, discipline the children according to the employers’ instructions, supervise playtime, read stories and organize outings to parks and for walks. Must be able to work with supervision as employer will be returning to the workplace and needs caregiver to be responsible for the household in employers absence.
Benefits
- Successful person will have a full time position with wages of fourteen dollars ($14.00) per hour for a normally 35 hour work week, with possibility for more hours and overtime when necessary
- A vacation of two weeks is earned after a full year of service, paid lunch breaks, health breaks and sick days.
- Statutory deductions will be made from each payday wage. Accommodation is available at no charge but living in is NOT a condition of employment, but my mutual agreement if required.
Job Requirement
The successful person will have at least a Canadian Grade 12 secondary education or equivalent. Communication will be in English but a bilingual (English/French) person would be an asset.
Experience as a caregiver, working without supervision, to children under twelve OR training as a caregiver is required. First Aid and CPR Training will be an asset and may be undertaken by employer.
