Assistant Micro Lab Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in sample collection and verification; sample encoding and media preparation; and disposal of tested finished goods
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of lab spaces and incubation room by sanitizing various lab furniture’s and lab equipment to ensure the lab is clean, uncluttered, and well organized as per 5S principles
  • Palletizes packages for disposal
  • Assists in maintaining inventory supply. Advises the Team Lead of low inventory stock of microbiological supplies
  • Ensures fresh Reverse Osmosis (RO) water availability in the lab everyday.
  • Assists in pH checks of samples for feasibility studies or validation runs as per customer’s requirement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Compliance at all times with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements etc.
  • Compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Qualification:

  • At least 6 months’ work experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a beverage manufacturing facility.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Must be able to prioritize assigned duties and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Knowledge of PC software: Microsoft Excel and Word is an asset. Able to do repetitive lifting of approximately 50 lbs.
